In 1961, President Kennedy set a clear objective for the USA: to land a man on the moon. It was ambitious and, at the time, people wondered how it could be done. But, on July 21, 1969, Neil Armstrong emerged from the Apollo 11 capsule and became the first human to walk on the moon.
